Alcohol addiction is lethal in more ways than one. It is lethal to the individual. It destroys his sanity and his physique and renders him incapable of functioning. He becomes a burden and a menace to his family and society.

The physical and mental effects of alcoholism are all too well known. Physically he will become a wreck due to impaired bodily organs. His eyes, liver, heart, kidneys and brain are all affected and damaged. His mind and behavior are also adversely affected. His behavior is erratic. He throws tantrums or regresses into depression.
